One down, one more to go

Wow, I can't believe this first semester is pretty much almost over!  Its crazy how fast its gone by.  My first semester overall has been good and not too tough.  I've made good grades and have been proud of the way I've performed on different assignments.  I still haven't fully decided on a major yet, but I'm hoping to figure it out for sure next semester.  I have some mixed feelings about next semester, I'm excited but them I'm not.  I'm excited because I'll meet some new people, and hopefully have some good classes.  But I'm not to excited that I'm going from 13 credit hours to 17.  Its a big jump and probably going to be more work, but I know i'll be able to do it.  Now I'm really just looking forward to Christmas Break, where I have three whole long weeks to not worry about a thing and relax. :) I can't wait!

Thanksgiving breakkkk :)

Next week is break! I'm very excited because I think I'm going home Monday so that tues I can go to work with my mom to see what its like for her job since i have an interest with working with special needs children.  On wed. I think we might be going to Illionios for Thanksgiving, which I'm very excited because I love my aunt and uncles house and I'll get to see my cousins who I haven't seen in awhile.  I always love Thanksgiving because it's fun getting to be with family the whole time who I have missed the most being here at BSU.  But also I can't forget that awesome food were going to have because thats the best part!  I would have to say my favorite dish on Thanksgiving would probably have to be my moms sweet potato castelrole. It's awesome!  Anyways I'm very excited for next week and this week to be over since I have so many tests and projects due, and next week I have nothing due, it'll be great :)

I wish the weather would make up it's mind....

So we go from snow and freezing cold weather to this week were its in high 60s and  you don't even need a jacket. I don't get it ! I mean I'm not complaining I love the weather this week but I just think it's so weird how the weather changes just like that.  I'm use to it though, thats Indiana weather and thats the way its been my whole life.  Next week well probably be back to snow but who knows it could be in the 80s, its Indiana.  I guess I should take advantage of what warm weather we have next before all this snow comes for the winter, because I'm definately not ready for it! :(

Research Paper reflection thus far

So far my research paper has gone pretty well.  I feel like I have a lot of good information and facts that support each side of the argument on animal lab testing. I'm really glad I choose this topic because it has good supporting facts and details that reflect each side of the arguements.  I wrote my rough draft all at once but I kind of wish I would have spaced it out more and wrote it in pieces just so I wouldn't have to do it all at once.  What I think I could of done better is find so more cites other then the ones our group found.  I did find some other good ones but I didn't look as hard since we had some on our group page but they were good sources.  I'm excited to see what I can improve on for my paper so I can begin to write the final draft and hopefully get an A!

HAll0WEEN WEEKEND

This weekend is HAll0WEEN!  I'm very excited because it's going to be a really fun weekend.  This halloween I choose to be somthing funny for my costume.  Me and four other of my friends are all being pengiuns, the costumes are all hilarious and I think it's going to be fun to walk around in them over the weekend.  Hopefully we get good reactions from wearing them because their are really funny.  I'm excited to see other peoples costumes at other parties too just to see the different ones.  So I'm very excited for this weekend to get here because it will be nice to be able to have fun and forget about school for a little bit.  I'm expecting this weekend to be alot of fun and I can't wait! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

a little late..

This is my post from last week, the one I originally posted didn't post I guess, so hopefully I get some points for this.  But anyways last week on the research project we figured out what our topic was going to be which is animal cruelty with lab testing.  We did our proposal and said what we were going to do as a group and the different steps we were going to take to find out more and more about our topic and why people do animal cruelty.

This week we got assigned to do a research paper, which we will be disscussing in our groups.  We haven't picked our groups yet but we will be doing that in class tmrw.  I think this research paper will be a cool project because we actually get to discuss the topic together within our groups which nice for ideas on the paper if everyone actually talks.  I haven't come up with any topics yet because I want to be able to interact with my group first and see what some of their ideas are.  I haven't really had any ideas yet but I just want to go into it with an open minds and hopefully we get a good topic to write about.

Finally a breakk

Finally this week I've gotten a break from homework and tests, which is weird because its midterms this week.  I got luckey and don't have any tests or papers due this week. It's been so nice because the last few weeks I've had no break because I've had so much to do and ALOT of reading. Its been insane!  One thing I wish my high school would've done differently is preparing us for college.  Yeah, they say alot of what we do in high school prepares us for college but in actuality it really doesnt.  Since college started I've been kind of overwhelmed with alot and I wasn't prepared for that coming into college.  I wish my high school would have done a better job preparing us.  I got good grades in school , but often I never had to do anything because we barley had any homework or it was easy enough to finish at school during classes.  This week has reminded me alot of what high school was like because I've barley had to do anything for any of my classes, its been so nice but next week will most likely be back to reality. Without so much homework to do this week I've also been so bored because everyone else has midterms so their all studying and I'll just be sitting in my room with nothing to do.  It's been a very odd wekk but a good break from everything and get caught up on anything I need to.  Now I just need to prepare myself for next week before fall break!! :)

Years going by soo fast

This saturday is my 19th birthday and i'm very excited! Its scary to realize how much older i'm getting and how fast its going by.  It's so weird to think that around this time next fall i'll be 20!  That seems so old to me and its crazy how fast its coming up and seeing how were all growing up.  It seems like just yesterday I was just a freshman in high school and now four years later i'm a freshman in college!  I already feel like my first semester is flying by because were already almost halfway through this one.  In three years from now i'm going to actually be starting my life and getting a real job.  Thats scary but yet exciting to think about because i'm actually growing up and experiencing new things.  Anyways i'm really excited for this upcoming weekend because it's my birthday and its homecoming week/weekend, so it will be a fun weekend with my friends.  GO CARDiNAlS! =)

UPC0MiNG WEEKEND =)

This weekend is going to be a very eventful one that I'm very excited for!  My bestfriends sister is getting married and shes basically just my older sister.  Were both in the wedding and were both very excited.  Her family is always so much fun to be around so the reception I'm definatly expecting a good time!  I'll be leaving friday at one after my last class, and then as soon as i get back I have to get ready and go to the rehearsal dinner and rehearsal dinner which will be alot of fun! THEN Saturdays the big day!  The wedding starts at 12 and its actually going to be at their house which will be really cool, haha their country people.  I'm just exctied to be able to go home and see everyone because her family is like my second family and I love being around them, its always a good time!  Well anyways I'm so excited for friday to get here and can't wait to see how the wedding goes!

Ballstate sickness

So the last two weeks have sucked so much!  I've just now gotten over my cold completely, i felt like I had it forever.  It was very annoying because it sucked having to sit in class and every five seconds, literally my nose would start running and i would have to sniff over and over.  Along with that my throat would hurt and I would always be so tired.  It sucked having to study because I couldnt even concentrate i felt so miserable :(. Everyone I know has been sick at BSU, well more freshmen then upperclassmen.  Honestly, I think it has to do with the dorm life and how dusty the dorms are! At least mine is and its discusting because with the fans obviously its going to blow everywhere.  Also another main reason is probably , well is , being out late on the weekends and I probably could've taken care of myself better but I'm all better now and i feel much better! So I would say I've learned my lesson, just sucks because now my roomates sick so I feel kind of bad. Heres a video that made me laugh so watch! :)

A disappointing first game but more to come from the Colts

Yes, unfortunatly the Colts did lose their first game and it was a bummer.  But it was only the first game and i believe they will have an awesome season and i'm excited to see what we can do this season.  One thing that really makes me mad though is how people think that our seasons over now just because we lost the first game!  It's so stupid , yeah it wasnt our best game but we have so many more games ahead of us. So NO our season is not over now just after one game and I think its really annoying when people like to say that because its the stupidest opinion i've ever heard.  Anyways the Colts do play again this sunday which i'm very excited for because I'm going and it will be both Manning brothers playing against eachother.  It will be an awesome game and I cannot wait! GO COLTS!

COLTS SEASON!

Now that it is September, it makes it that much closer to COLTS SEASON!  I'm very excited for this season if you couldn't tell i'm a huge Indianapolis Colts fan; I've been raised that to be that way.  Anyway the first game is this Sunday against the Texans, and i'm really excited for this new season to start!  I'm also glad its finally September because that means it will now cool off and my dorm won't be so hot and i won't have to wake up to being sweaty.  I love fall weather because its not too cold and not too hot, its perfect :)  But it does bring us closer to winter which sucks because I just like having winter for about 2 weeks and Christmas and then I get sick of it and want the spring weather.  Anyways GO COLTS! :)

Upcoming weekend/ first week

This upcoming next weekend is going to be alot of fun because its Labor Day weekend.  I'm stayin here at BSU, I might go home for a little bit for one of the days but I'll probably just end up staying here with my friends.  So far I like BSU alot, and I can't wait for the rest of this year.  My first week of classes went really well and all of my classes are fairly close to my dorm, which is nice.  I like all my classes so far too, except for my 8am classes just because their wayyyyyyyyy too early and tiring.  But it's nice cause most days I'm done before one, which I love.  Thats all for now but I'm excited for the rest of my year to begin at Ball State :)
